University Row Games!

Once again, the 20th University Row will feature a wide variety of lawn games in our large space, including:

  • Cornhole (sponsored by Volo City DC)
  • Giant Jenga
  • Giant Connect 4
  • Bear Pong

You are also welcome to bring your own yard games for courteous play within our spacious picnic area; storage is available under the buses.

Betting on the Races from within University Row

Like last year, onsite wagering has been arranged by the Virginia Gold Cup Association just outside of our tent area. For Tent Only ticket holders, betting is also available for the Kentucky Derby!  The Derby will be simulcast on screens throughout Great Meadow at 6:46pm!

Wagering at Gold Cup is fun and easy. For more info visit the Virginia Gold Cup’s website. At the end of your fun at race day, stop by any betting station to cash out any winnings or contact the Virginia Gold Cup Association office within 6 months for instructions on redeeming cards.

Which Horses should I bet on?

Sometimes, the best bet is the random guess. University Row guest have won hundreds of dollars on a hunch or a guess. But, if you want to be a little more deliberative in your betting, we will be placing some handicapping sites up here before Race Day to help you make informed picks. Check back soon!
